Hi worstgen,
I'm going to begin every theory I make by saying I hate presenting theories and I hate talking to people about them! Why? Because I never get positive feedback. Ever. However, I'm going to point out that you should expect crazy theories for a crazy story like One Piece. What are you expecting? Everything to be perfectly reasonable? Ha! That's a laugh.
The inner workings of Haki are simple -- just like the inner workings of Devil Fruits. The fundamental principles are simple, but everything else is convoluted to hell. That's why I make these theories... I'm good at making things that are really convoluted less so. So, I'll begin--
Haki is based on the principle of Mind-Body Dualism in philosophy.
Simply put, it works in the following manner:
1. Armament Haki is based on the faculty of the Body.
2. Observation Haki is based on the faculty of the Mind.
3. Sovereign Haki is based on the faculty of the Spirit.
Those are the fundamental principles of Haki.
Haki specialties often involve exceeding the limits of the Body, the Mind, and the Spirit. For example, in the following:
1. Zoro's specialty is the ability to combine his physical body with the subtle bodies of other living entities, thereby exceeding the limits of the human body.
2. Usopp's specialty is the ability to use extrasensory perception, specifically he has a heightened sense of sight that allows him to see spirits. This is an ability that exceeds the limits of the human mind.
3. Conqueror's Haki specialties are slighty more complex because they are based on the notion that you can enhance both your mind and your body by combining it with your spirit. As in... Armament Haki being combined with Conqueror's Haki to achieve what people refer to as Advanced Haki of the Color of the Conquering King (AdCoc??? Weird fucking abbreviation if you ask me.)
It makes sense that people should also be able to combine Conqueror's Haki with Observation Haki as well under this context. With that said, a supreme form of a heightened sense would be the likes of God-like ability known as Omniscience.
All-Presence, Omnipresence, is based on the notion that a person may extend their subtle body to All Things. Therefore, Armament Haki is based on extending the length of the Body. This may also be referred to as Endless Presence.
All-Knowledge, Omniscience, is based on the notion that a person may know All Things by having such heightened senses that nothing is beyond their perception. Therefore, Observation Haki is based on heightened perceptions and the Mind. This may also be referred to as Endless Knowledge.
All-Powerful, Omnipotence, is based on the notion that a person may have a supreme will. Therefore, what's referred to as Conqueror's Haki is based on a powerful soul. This may also be referred to as Endless Power.
This system is monotheistic and commonly described as an All Is One theme. The All Is One theme denotes All Things deriving of God.
I didn't want to explain the All-Presence, All-Knowledge, and All-Powerful stuff, but it's necessary to gain understanding. To explain further, it is said, in the Vedic Religions that a person who achieves an All-Present, All-Knowing, and All-Powerful state will be enlightened and be released from the Endless Cycle of Rebirth.
Therefore... the end of the story is about Luffy becoming All-Present, All-Knowing, All-Powerful, and being released from the Endless Cycle of Rebirth. (This means Luffy is going to die).
Isn't it funny how I just explained the entire point of the story, and nobody cares? Haha.... I've explained this too many times to too many people already. Nobody cares. They hate it.
Well, that should be an obvious reaction, I guess. I mean, everyone liked this story because it didn't seem to be like that. It didn't seem to be a story about some religious view, but it is, and there's no other way to interpret it. So, One Piece was just one big letdown for those people.
