The point about Sabaody is more regarding the meta-narrative, if Oda wanted to specifically highlight Zoro and Luffy as the top leaders a scenario where Sanji doesn't lead a group while Zoro does would be a good way to establish that since Zoro leading a group is a VC like action but if Zoro is the one and only VC he should be singled out in this action and not have it be shared with Sanji where he leads and captains the crew at times, so the point is less about the technicalities of the story and more about Oda giving us a very clear portrayal of leadership superiority. The actual title of Left hand doesn't exist in the story but we have seen captains have more than one right hand man and labeling both Zoro and Sanji as Luffys right hand men would make more sense than making up a position, but that's not what they are at the end of the day since as I stated before the right hand position is in fact an official position. At the end of the day Oda had no problem talking about Zoro and Sanji as Luffys top 2 clearly placing them above the rest of the crew but when it comes to who is more important between them Oda never talks about it and in fact avoids it.

Because you're ignoring it, I'll just leave it here: Oda called Zoro the single person who acts like Vice-Captain. This alone kills your personal opinion that wings mean equality in leadership and importance to the crew.
