Character Discussion When does Strawhats become soulless and brainwashed?

If I remember correctly, each member has their own personal goal right? Like Sanji wants to find All Blue or Nami wants to draw a comprehensive world map.

But I can't remember when they pursued their own ambitions with their own relevant stories.

In contrast, they now seem like a bunch of Luffy's cheerleaders/babysitters with repetitive and boring statements: "Luffy will become Pirate King" or "Luffy will win". They are more like religious followers where Luffy is a god rather than a friendship.

What do you think?

They put their faith in Luffy as Luffys dream will eventually lead to Nami and Sanji achieving theirs as the all blue is said to be somewhere in the grand line and Luffy sailing the grand line will allow Nami to make maps of the uncharted land that is the new world and grand line.

I don't know. At least they should have side quests along the journey to fulfill their dream. There might be some clues that they can pursue in the sideline and the secret is eventually revealed. But nothing like that shown in the story. Nami never mentioned about the map, Sanji never mentioned about all blue ever since. Zoro even threw away his ambition and will possibly threw away his words to cut down Kaido. He also just walked around and waited Luffy while he was in the Samurai country.

They just follow Luffy blindly with hope that he will fulfill their dream? It is pathetic in my opinion. That's why I narratively start to view them as religious followers with no integrity. And I blame Oda for this.

Wano arc culminates in Kaidou wanting to be PK, clashing directly against Luffy's dream. So the final battle of the arc is Luffy's time. Before the finale, they didn't always say Luffy for PK all the time though, they also had their own business. Zoro Enma business, Sanji family stuff, Chopper Ice Oni, Brook conversing with BM, Nami getting Zeus.

Zoro and the others believe and relies to Luffy to defeat the final boss when no one else can. By Oda's narrative design, the final boss in this arc also want to be PK, directly clashing with Luffy's ambition. So they solidifying their faith in Luffy being closer to PK at the finale of this arc is simply inevitable. You shouldnt just look narrowly at precisely these moments of the crew declaring Luffy as PK, if you want to search for mutual trust.

Below the rooftop, they all do what Luffy can't. Luffy can't control Zeus in order to indirectly weaken BM like Nami. Luffy can't handle Queen or King since he got his hands full with Kaidou so he has to trust his commanders, Zoro and Sanji, to handle matters below rooftop. Luffy can't deal with Ice Oni drug so Chopper takes the role. Even if Luffy didnt directly order them to handle the matter, he had said his role "leave this to me!" meaning he'll handle beating Kaidou which no one else can do, and become PK's most valuable candidate, while the others can handle the matters below that Luffy can't handle, since he has his crew possessing technical abilities to do various jobs that he can't do himself. Precisely because Luffy didn't give direct order but they all know what to do, that's mutual trust.

It's not out of character for Zoro to believe in Luffy and trying to make him PK.
