I don't think we're getting it before the calamities have been dealt with, that would be on odd choice for me too if we got it now.

What I could see though is that it could be split in parts (like Kyros') where we get the parts relevant to Yamato and him (a chapter or two at best) right now and the ones relevant to the overarching plot after the calamities have been dealt with. (2-3 chapters)
