You are still missing the point.

Lets even say there would be slight... changes, the arc would suck regardless is literally the point, you mentioned it yourself.

Sanji doesnt make the arc good, no character was making that premise and that arc good. It is a terrible arc, mind you again, not the worst arc, that's reserved for Wano

Luffy carried Sanji and Nami across the mountain but never gets credit for that
Luffy would rather stay stranded in an island of women who are actively trying to kill him to protect some strangers he just met
Chopper going thru hell to look for a cure for his dying father is kind
Nami trying to save all the kids on punk hazard despite the lack of space is kind
Zoro never telling anyone about nothing happened no glory no credit is some real shit

Sanji is faux kind
