Yes, he was the "Joker" of Kaido's crew, and was meant to fight alongside Kaido in Wano. Oda took him out of the story.

These guys are fucking fodder compared to him or Katakuri.

It says nothing about being close to fainting, what people read into stuff.

Getting thrashed by two commanders while healing hundreds (thousands?) of people and then still managing to last 16 chapters against another top commander is definitely more impressive than fighting base Luffy for 12 hours.
