I’m sure a thread like this will get reported to the mods by triggered Yonko fans who shall remain nameless, but the question needs to be asked regardless of who it offends and what corrupt mods who shall also remain nameless decide to abuse their power.
In this thread, I want to examine what makes Kaido such an emotional weakling. Why is it that Kaido seeks exhilaration and and thrills, but is also terrified of war and can’t take a minor injury without screaming like a child?

@Celestial D. Dragon theorized that Kaido is a “Magikarp” type character-Kaido was very weak early on in his life, but through struggle and strife, eventually became the strongest.
Unfortunately, this theory is highly unlikely to be true. For someone as weak as Magikarp to evolve into a Gyarados, life or death struggles would’ve been a constant, and Kaido would’ve likely brushed with death itself numerous times in order to reach his current strength.
However, Kaido’s severe reaction to even minor pain is not consistent with this. If Kaido has brushed with death numerous times in his life, then there would be no reason for him to shriek like an aspiring black metal vocalist every time he feels a minuscule amount of pain. Kaido should be used to taking injuries and even severe wounds should not phase him.
What is far more likely is that Kaido is a “natural born destroyer” like Big Mom. He has never had to work for anything in his life because he’s always been stronger than almost everyone else around him. In the same way that Big Mom is a 68 year old woman who doesn’t know how to react to discipline since she is morbidly obese and throws tantrums when she doesn’t get what she wants, Kaido is someone who has never faced and had to deal with pain before, because there were simply so few people capable of injuring him.
This is why Kaido lives in a permanent state of fear of Kozuki Oden even though Oden really only gave Kaido a moderate injury at worst: because it was the most severe injury he’s ever taken in his life, and Oden’s swords probably didn’t even reach Kaido’s organs. This is why Kaido can’t have rocks dropped on him without reacting like he’s experiencing horrific torture.
When you never have to work for anything in life, when everything gets handed to you on a silver platter, you never learn how to experience pain or adversity. And when you never learn how to cope with struggle, you never learn how to persevere.
Kaido does not know how to persevere. If his invincible body didn’t carry him through every encounter he took, then he wouldn’t have the mental fortitude to even withstand some of the attacks Luffy endured in East Blue.
Remember when Zoro took in all of Luffy’s pain in addition to his own? Kaido isn’t capable of something like this. If Kaido were completely fresh, but then he absorbed Thriller Barc Luffy’s pain, his lack of pain tolerance would’ve reduced him into a lifeless husk on the ground, crying his eyes out and having lost focus on his entire life’s vision and he likely would’ve forgotten his own name.
Kaido isn’t someone who knows how to struggle, and this is why we are currently seeing him unravel from attacks that aren’t even chipping away at 1% of his overall health.
