good or bad for Zoro?
Whats your criteria for good or bad?

Do you mean good for Zoro’s character? Well yeah, King is the strongest swordsman Zoro’s faced so of course beating him advances Zoro’s goal of becoming WSS.

Do you mean good for Powerscaling? Sure. Zoro has a bunch of powers he needs to learn and master now. From Enma to CoC to Ashura to maybe even an advamced fire ability or even Black Blade shit. All these can be improved upon DESPITE what you think of King’s strength. Zoro doesnt have to fight the strongest person in the world to improve on a skill or technique as we saw in Alabasta and Skypiea.

Do you mean good for plot progression? Well this depends on what the intention here is. If Oda eventually wants ALL the strawhats to go the roof then it will play out like Zoro vs Ryuma which was followed by the strawhats vs Oars. If Oda wants this to be Zoro’s last fight in the arc, Oda has the medicine Side effect plot mechanic to remove Zoro from the arc whether you believe King is strong or not.

Do you mean good visually? Of course. King looks very good in motion even without hybrid and the fact that he is 4 times Zoro’s size qnd has a sword easily the size of Zoro’s whole body means it will be interesting to see how Oda shows sword clashes here.

I mean, maybe you should be specific on what you consider good or bad

Zoro already fought Kaido and BM and we saw the events that happened on the rooftop so I pose this question. Now going back down and fighting King will this fight be good or bad for Zoro?
Imo since it’s already been established vs kaido that zoro can cut fire and that’s not a issue vs king (assuming kings flames aren’t build diff lol) I think this fight will focus on 2 things zoro coc mastery for sure maybe zoro keeps trying to use it until he defeats king with it and the 2nd possibly being his mobility vs Opponents in the air ie. pica, kaido, king being hard for him to reach im assuming oda may fix this issue sure he has his throwing slashes but maybe he gives him something else geppo is the first thing that comes to mind lol but maybe that’s to farfetched so maybe like a coc shockwave like roger or something idk but anyways I don’t think it’s bad after thinking about it although I’ll admit I was one of the ones that pushed king being unnecessary for zoro the fight can definitely work in his favor especially in regards to the Coc and IMO oda doing zoro like this almost guarantees a rematch with kaido because if zoro fought king first then kaido he would be done with we can basically assume it would play out like it did but see now zoro has a hint of coc so him focusing on mastering the flow vs king and then going back to kaido makes sense IMO anyways just my thoughts

No it's not good. Zoro has nothing to do with King and it is just a waste of time. King is more suitable for Sanji or Marco.

He has a time bomb in his body, he should go up to the roof to finish the business as soon as possible.

I expected that he will get beaten very bad by Kaido in case of 1vs1. But he might tag team with Luffy.
And this time, he won't babysit, and he will learn something.

What to expect from King fight:

- Learning better CoO to evade King's attacks.
- Improve his speed to keep up with King.
- Mastering CoC coating/CoC clash.
- Good swordsmanship fight.
- Potentially making a black blade.

If one of those requirements will meet in this fight then it will be good. However, people tend to have higher expectations for Zoro so the fight might look bad for some people.

Why do you want Zoro to get his ass kicked again so badly? :gokulaugh:

At least now he is fighting someone who he is capable of beating like King. After his brief clash with Kaido it was made clear that even with Zoro's best shot delivered with a bit of CoC boost it would not be enough to do anything significant to Kaido. Beyond scarring him what did it accomplish? Did it slow him down? Did it weaken him at all?

It's as though your expecting Zoro to magically pull out some sort of power he does not yet fully comprehend to try and beat Kaido.
It's not gonna happen this arc.
