Character Discussion Is Sanji the only Monster Trio member who’s not blessed by destiny?

#23
Sanji and Usopp are not guided by destiny lmao
How are they not?

Usopps character is him being in the right place at the right time and his lies turning into truths. How is he not guided by destiny?

And Sanji being the only member of his family to retain his emotions which have become his greatest power and Sanji just happening to end up on a cruise liner in the East blue when he’s a north blue native which is attacked by Zeff who chose to spare his life.

Both of their lives are filled with coincidences that lead them to where they are as Luffys men. They are guided heavily by their destiny.

Yeah he's not a callback to any legend we know off, but it still does not add up.
If he now awakenes an exoskeleton, while he already has his fire game, it's somewhat like he's the fusion of 3 DFs, i.e. Ace's, Mr1's and some kind of strong Zoan for the stats.
W/o haki or super special weaponery the vinsmokes are still hardly beatable, even w/o the Raid suit. They would be pre ts Kings. That's some superb genetics if you ask me.

Additionally Sanji ended up being the foster son of a guy that happened to be one of the best martial artists in the world (skill wise).
All of that certainly makes up for some destiny stuff.
He now might finally become a high high tier, a level others might never reach if not for a very powerful DF, DF awakening, having special body modifications themselves or advCoC -> guys like base Sabo, Vista, Top scabbards basically.

There's a reason why those 3 are called the core of the story... Usopp and Sanji's storylines are mostly directed towards their origins and them being SHs, which is no different to Franky...
Calling Nami core of story it's like saying Zoro and Sanji are closed in strenght.

That was before time-skip, what highlight Nami got after TS? Even the arc she had most shine was Sanji's arc(WHC) and now we have the wings's stuff.

I really want to see Nami getting an apropriate portrayal but Oda is lacking this right now.

I think sanji character arc and development got ruined instead. His mom and sanji himself doesn't want to be a super human mutant or something. But turns out sanji is exactly what Judge want him to be.

Conclusion, sanji is a pointless character.
Are you reading with your eyes ? I am not sure.

I respectfully disagree.

I am not sure what you mean by saying that Sanji is not "blessed by destiny?"

He is a prince of Germa Kingdom that once ruled the North Blue. He may have been a failed modified human, yet chapter 1023 implies that he is either going to awaken his exoskeleton, or he is possibly connected to King's race through Sora. (Please remember that this is just my thoughts as of now. It may change once we get more information)

Also couldn't we say it was destiny that he met Zeff, a pirate who also has a passion for cooking and the same dream as Sanji? Not to mention Zeff taught Sanji his martial arts style.

Oda once said that only Usopp is the "normal one" amongst the Strawhats. But even then it's heavily implied that he is a descendant of Noland. I think we all need to be willing to accept that all of the Strawhats are blessed by destiny in some way, shape, or form.

Remember there are no coincidences in One Piece only destiny! Destiny Piece!
