Chapter Discussion The hypocrisy of the Minks

I’m pretty sure no one is really “innocent” here lol.
Big Mom Pirates kidnapped Sanji with the intent to kill him -> SHs and Pedro go to WCI to retrieve Sanji -> SHs decide to assassinate BM while they are there -> Assassination attempt fails -> Pero tries to prevent rescue party turned assassination party from escaping -> Pedro kills himself to secure that escape.
The SHs had the moral high ground going in, they lost a chunk of it when it became an assassination attempt part way through. BM Pirates played stupid games to win stupid prizes so the assassination attempt was still technically retaliatory. Pero is also retaliatory for trying to prevent their escape. Pedro himself makes the personal decision to kill himself to get everyone out of there.
Technically if the BM Pirates don’t start a conflict Pedro is never there to do that, but still it was his call. Anyway what I’m trying to say is this is basically a game of “you hit us we hit back” started by the BMP’s and this Pedro revenge thing is just the next escalation of the conflict/retaliation.
Going backwards everyone involved’s logic is “We’re going to attack Pero because Pedro sacrificed himself to escape him [Minks] -> “He blew himself up, I was only trying to prevent his assassination party from escaping my home that they invaded” [Pero] -> “We were only in your home trying to assassinate BM because you stole Sanji” [Minks].

The furry culling starts here and now. 2-3 chapters from now Perospero will raise Neko's head for all of Onigashima to see and his campaign against the Minks will begin in earnest! Soon, they can all share a drink with their precious Pedro again in the shadow realm. The Minks have left him no choice. This poor man can't even sleep or enjoy a marienda with Katakuri in peace. This is no way to live. It's him or them.
