i was thinking about the last page in chapter 955 ,showing Orochi and Law in two successive panels , and the action that Orochi took .
We all know Law is one of the cleverest characters out there . he always has plans . just remember the following facts.
  1. Law "surrendered" to rescue his subordinates.
  2. he ordered them not to tell the strawhats no matter what happens.
  3. his conversation with Hawkins and that Kaido and Co are not beatable.
  4. Orochi's intentions to make Law betray his friends.
  5. Law didn't contact his allies at all while he was free and the annoying Shinobu and Hawkins as well always brought the possiblity that he will betray them.
  6. Orochi only destroyed the brigedes and the ships.
  7. Laws ability is the best solution for the destroyed bridges.
seeing all these facts i come with conclusion that Law is pretending to betray his allies while making Orochi makes things that he can overcome
like destroying the bridges using his ability he can transport the people form one side of the destroyed bridge to the other side very easily
and for sure the ships that were destroyed are not the real ones i am pretty sure he took some actions to deceive them.

there are some flying DF users who can be manipulated by him as well he can force them to transport the nine scabbards and Momo by taking their hearts. i think he might contacted the straw hats after the nine scabbards are gone. so i expect them to be picked very soon by the others. and the result of this plans that Orochi and Co now are 100% sure they ruined every thing and they will be taken by surprise .
Law might not as strong as Luffy but his plans will be most crucial for the win .

Law will pretend to betray the alliance to divide and conquer. He probably feels they can't win a head on battle. This is why he told Bepo and the rest not to tell the others, since Luffy can't keep secrets to save his life.

I don't think he's the traitor that's been speculated since Zou. Too many discrepancies.

Firstly, the traitor thing has been going on since Zou. So, if Law is the traitor, he has been doing it for a long time.

Secondly, Law heard of his crew being captured after the bathhouse incident. Unfortunately, the traitor has been working before that.

Law may have some plans and may be planning to use Orochi against Orochi. But he is not the traitor we are looking for.

I did. I am not sure if I am missing something, but Law being the traitor is not possible. Him being a 'traitor' may be, but bathhouse incident proves that Law is not it.

Yes, I understand. Hence I said that 'Law is may be planning to manipulate Orochi against Orochi'.

I think we need to make a distinction between The Traitor and A Traitor (or more accurately, manipulator).

I expect Oda to not make things too convoluted by having multiple betrayals and manipulation (it is Shounen afterall). But Law countering The Traitor with plans of his own is always on the card.

that is why i put traitor between the quotation marks, obviously he is pretending just to manipulate them

Sorry, I just can't buy Law being the traitor. He's shrewd sure, but he wouldn't betray his friends and allies. Especially Luffy who defeated Doffy and avenged Corazon on Law's behalf. It would go against the narrative established so far. Also I have a feeling that X-Drake might know who the actual traitor is and told Law.
