If poor quality translations become the norm again, may be spoilers will become a thing of the past. There is no point for people who leak to leak, if the leaks do not attract people, and if poor quality translations become norm, people will tend to stay away from spoilers.
People will always read the spoilers even if they have a bad translation. They just can't wait 3 days longer and become impatient. Spoilers will always be a thing, no matter how good the official translation is.

I know some people would go as far as despising the official translation, but seriously, considering the quality of scans this time around, everyone should (re)read the chapter with the official translations.
I wanted to read them, but the official translation comes out in like a week.

Well, this huge gap between spoilers and official translation is getting to me. I know it is the holiday season and not the normal procedure, but still.

Even in the case of last chapter, I waited till official translation came out. By that time everybody was already reading scans and coming to (apparently) premature conclusions.

If I have to wait three day long anyway, might as well avoid spoilers. But you are correct that most people will not do that and they will look for spoilers, hell I look for spoilers.
