1. We only know of the shimotsuki having incredible legacy hence why ryuma was knowm as the god of the blade
2. Toki came from the past god now's from how far. The history now can be different from the history then.
3. Let's use Naruto as an example you have senju as leader of the village and the hyuga, Uchiha and uzumaki served under said leader. But guess what the hyuga was technically the older out of all and all other factions came from then since the otsutski seemed to all be byukugan users first and foremost
