General & Others Oda confirmed you need CoC to scar Kaido

#21
I don’t really think it’s anything more an wind from the attack speed.. Oda has always shown this black lightning streak that come from the weapon to indicate advCoC was used… just look at Kaido doing many times do recognize it. I don’t really mind at this point if Zoro was using advCoC, but Oda is simply not showing the way it always is. Why should it be different for Zoro right?
idk for zoro oda never showed the lighting not even for armament haki
u cant scar kaido without coc
luffy said his punches without coc were to shallow
when scabbards cut kaido with totska kaido said its to shallow
zoro cut kaido with enma with tatsumaki no scar either
u need coc to permanent damage kaido

But the real question is, the Scabbards uses the same technique as Oden (Paradise Totsuka) and hits Kaido with it but couldn't reopen the scar, is it also Conqueror's Haki as well? If it is then that would be interesting.
that's the same technique. but without the conquerors haki and with armament haki.
we've seen zoro's sword techniques/forms get stronger when he imbues them with CoA haki over the series.
going by that logic, one can argue that the same applies to CoC and CoA as well i guess.

Either way we win.

Zoro advanced CoC- already cemented his place amongst the legends at this stage of the game.

Deny blatant CoC usage- Half dead Zoro > Oden feat and other CoC wankers who couldn't do shit to kaido.

Pick your poison plebs.
Small win, because Zoro can't use CoC consistently. He just learned he had it.

If Zoro was to fight against Kaido again at this very moment, he wouldn't be able to replicate the feat.

It is however a taste of things to come for Zoro when he can fully utilize the ability.

Mihawk is definitely going to have CoC, because Zoro was clearly given the ability for a future opponent.

Where did Oda confirm this?
He only clarified Roger and Oden's attacks

While Zoro's ashura and attacks weren't stated to be CoC imbued in sbs or Vivrecard

If onlt CoC can scar kaido so why didn't he get one from Yonko and others who can use CoC?

Stop making up stuff.
Wait until Oda clarify things about Ashura & Zoro having CoC

Small win even though the mc learned to finally use it after Zoro showcased advanced CoC?

Same mc who learned to at least utilise and properly use basic CoC for 2 years while Zoro had virtually no knowledge of it?

Yeah, I will take that "small" win, thank you very much.

So I was right about Oden's Paradise Totsuka being Conqueror's Haki attack. Nice!

Roger's Kamusari is pretty obvious. Zoro's Asura is still the retconned manifestation of Conqueror's Haki until proven wise.

But the real question is, the Scabbards uses the same technique as Oden (Paradise Totsuka) and hits Kaido with it but couldn't reopen the scar, is it also Conqueror's Haki as well? If it is then that would be interesting.
Can you explain the retcon bit? :quest:

What are you even talking about? Luffy realized it after he was hit by Kaido's Thunder Bagua for the second time. It's literally written in the manga. :seriously:

Come back when Zoron learns how to use it on his own, and not in some one off desperation attempt. :kata:

You said it's a small win. Showcasing the end game version of CoC on screen out of all the mcs before he even knew what CoC was, is a massive win.

Zoro showcased advanced CoC before the mc. That's a fat win.

Come back when Luffy don't need to get bonked for free powerups.

Just because he showcased it before him, doesn't mean he was capable of doing it before Luffy. Once Luffy realized what it was, he can do it as easy as breathing.

Zoron still doesn't know what he did or how he did it, because it was a desperation attack. :kayneshrug:

still doesnt change the fact that zoro used it before luffy did.
Good for him? That changes what exactly? Nothing.
