What g4 did this chap? With coc nothing
Zoro cut kaido outside and inside with tatsumaki
Now imagine when zoro will coat his attacks with coc when he s healthy
Your talking like kid's giant robot wasn't destroyed by an inferior version of zoro's tatsumaki.
Killer couldn't even pull his weapon from zoro's shoulder.
Even yonko got disarmed, kaido, big mom and RHM king.
Imagine a swordsman like zoro, who only fight with his swords ( BM and Kaido have multiple style of fight), who lives for the swords… got his swords snatched away in 1 on 1 battle,( not surprise attack like 9 scabbards ambush on kaido or jimbei attack on BM)
So whatever knowledge Xebec imparted to Kaido probably involved this "Dragon's" role for the final war to take place at the end of the series.
Maybe that's why the Rocks pirates targeted God Valley in the first place, to get their hands on the Seiryu model.
I'm more interested than ever in seeing why Kaido chose Wano of all places as his stronghold and if the past of his Oni race has to do anything with it now.
Kaido has seemed a bit obsessed with erasing the Kozuki clan throughout this arc. It definitely comes off more than just his enmity with Oden
"You can't deny the fact that you're the son of Kaidou.
You still have “Oni (鬼)” blood in your body!!"
Whether he knows it or not, Zoro's past has a deep connection with Wano country, and he heads forward to Onigashima not just a pirate hunter, but as an ONI EXTERMINATOR
It was extremely impactful, but you're right. It didn't look impactful narratively, and that's because Zoro isn't done with Kaido. If Zoro's Asura looked impactful/with finality, then readers would think Oda is going overboard with Zoro when he does do ZKK.
But because it didn't, Zoro narratively has to have closure with Kaido, thus prompting ZKK.

Onis could have lived there originally, with onigashima as their original stronghold.
Though i remember Marco saying the island wasn't there before or something like that.
