If anything it shows that a lot of Kaido's strength might be due to his df.

People were Complaining Back then as well for Fights between Whitebeard Commanders and Admirals being Offscreened for Buggy and Luffy filler, just like How people are Complaining now about Tama Filler. One Piece has never Been about Fights. If you want Fights go read a Fighting Manga like Baki where fights last for 50+ chapters LOL.
