Heck he ideally doesn't want to be fighting with Law but he has no choice (a fact Law reminded him of at the start of this fight). Kidd's a stubborn POS but he's not an idiot.

i don't think they'll switch, they've remained loyal to him despite his mediocre feats and atrocious character development.

a conqueror who's fine with someone else fighting his battles in his stead is extremely disappointing imo.

it's oda's fault tho, he did the same with law too, from being ready to sacrifice his and luffy's life vs doflamingo to a coward who'll abandon a plan to kill a yonko just so an ally (who's completely ready to sacrifice his life) doesn't get hit with a casual attack.

Being a conqueror isn't the same as being a retard. Kid saw that Luffy was better equipped to deal with kaido, so he decided to go after big mom instead. He's still fighting a yonko.

that was never an issue for luffy, he always was at some kind of a disadvantage but he never let anybody fight in his place.
