Character Discussion Wano Jack might have been disappointing but Zou Jack was still a beast

Jack had a really great introduction during the Zou arc.

Gave no fucks on what the minks had to say and started attacking.

The first character whose bounty was revealed to be in the billions.

Fought with the minks for five days.

Crucified and tortured some of the minks like Inu and Neko.

And before the Zou arc, he tried his best to rescue Doflamingo even it means that he had to have a naval battle with an Admiral, a former fleet Admiral, and a very strong Vice Admiral.

Jack truly was a beast!

Zou Jack was an absolute monster with little remorse. He was a simple, malevolent force who didn't care for praise but was fond of his own dirty work.

It's a shame Oda decided to sacrifice Jack's character to make Queen and King seem more important, as almost immediately in Wano he gets belittled for their benefit. Poor decision.

Imo Zou Jack was the last antagonist that gave real tension. That's why Zou introduction along with Reverie were one of the best series of chapters.

But then WCI happened.

-Two YC got defeated
-YC Smoothie being useless
-Clowning of Big Mom
-An entire Yonko army failing to chase half of the SHP in their own turf

Yonko and YCs became a joke. It's all fake tension since WCI.

How great were Headliners in Zou? Ginrummy and Sheepshead seemed able to absorb and materialize their SMILE fruits at will, anywhere on their body. They had no dumb deformities and Sheepshead offered a struggle against Brook of all people.

I feel like Oda went the silly route for Headliners and making them look like punch lines cause he didn't feel like having to come up with so many transforming characters who didn't matter much.

He only decided to use the poison gas because he grew impatient after five days of fighting, and he also had to go rescue Doflamingo from the Marines.

Also there is nothing wrong with him using the poison gas, Jack is not an honorable pirate he is a ruthless pirate that will fight dirty.
