I think the biggest reason why King and Zoro went to fight somewhere else is to let Queen go wild. In an enclosed space and having trouble hitting his opponent, I wouldn't be shocked if Queen let out some toxic gas to weaken Sanji soon.

I'm still advocating for massive laser show where he just lets off a massive omni directional spray of lasers like some DBZ shit.

Luffy started the fight way weaker and got way less hits in. Katakuri couldn't do in hours what Kaido did in base with a 1 handed attack

Olda getting old people, let's be real, it's impressive he can put up a story like this for so long, it's been 20 years, and his writing is still relatively good enough, but, it's not like it used to be, it's overdone to death i know but...Pre-ts was the shit, the artstyle, the storytelling, the feeling of adventure and mystery, the life lessons, the small moments, the heart to heart moments, the heartbreaking moments, the angering moments, the calm, the panic, the excitment...and just a lot of shit i can't fit into this at the moment, was the stuff, but now...not so much, don't get me wrong though, one piece is still very much an amazing piece of fiction, but not like back then, I miss the old days of One piece, usually i'd spell it with a capital 'o' back then, now i just spell it as "one piece" most the time, the passion is still there, but not as much as before, I feel like i'm following this story just because i've known it for so long and have invested in it for so long, it's my duty to finish One piece, can't back out now, even if it's not interesting as it used to be, I still gotta pull through,....anyways, this was White hawk's thoughts, that is all, sigh, why do i have to be so weird sometimes? The popular argument before was Hakai kills YC commanders on impact, as a means to prove Zoro > YC and is low top tier (High top tier for some). But if King is overpowering Zoro like this, then how does he fair against Hakai? What about actual Top Tiers who are well above King?

First and foremost, all kinds of Zoro is top-tier arguments are plainly dumb. Hakai stopping itself is a top-tier feat—as in only top-tiers can't replicate it—but Zoro put everything on the line to stop it while the top-tiers need not suffer nearly as much.

While Hakai feat doesn't prove Zoro's gonna dog walk every single attack weaker than Hakai, it does imply he's better at blocking stuff than all those who stood behind Zoro, giving up their lives, as he blocks Hakai. So if King overpowered Zoro when he's better than physical monsters like Luffy and Kid at defense, it means his AP is extremely overpowered. I guess we'll have to see how well King can block attacks to know how well he can do against Hakai.
