Akainu being the Blueno of EoS would be pretty funny, but it won’t happen unfortunately. Luffy’s gonna fight the main villain of the Ds while the inheritor of Ace’s will and potential future RA leader will beat Akainu
And yes, Sabo will prove himself to be a high top tier after he beats the strongest mid top tier, Akainu
I believe luffy will be the one to defeat akainu, he looked angry when he heard akainu's name, Akainu killed his brother in front of him and still wants to see luffy dead. At some point they have to face each other.
Doesn't this man have conquerers haki? Why have we spent 10 chapters of this flashback without seeing him fuckin using it... Couldnt he just knock them out with that power that was SAID he has by instead fuckin SHOWING US that he has this power...Fuckin stupid is what it is
I say slightly because it's already a cliché that the woman getting injured motivates the man... And given the fact that Toki was present on one of the greatest journeys around the world that was one of the most dangerous things you could do at the time, then it's really dumb that Oden is suddenly so concerned and outraged... Like this chick was probably on the verge of death countless times already even before she met him and now a little scar is getting him all riled up... fuck that... TAKE HER WHOLE LEG... At least that will be something new since women never get mutilated in One piece to begin with
Anyway I just hope to god the spoilers arent representing this as it is in the actual manga because Oden is being made out to be one of the most abrasive characters in the story and Luffy and the gang can be abrasive but Oden is taking it to a whole other level and it's getting really hard to consider his story tragic... It just seems like there was a very hard boiled man who just led a hard boiled life and had a hard boiled death. THE END
I mean he's been on a ship for six years with the top conquerers haki users of the verse but okay... And that doesn't even matter since Luffy didn't know how to use it or what it was even when he used it... Oda could've chosen to have Oden use it here but he wants Oden to have taken damage in this scene with Orochi to justify how Orochi made it out alive and so he is sacrificing alot of character beats for plot
Oden is such a great character, no wonder why the scabbards want to follow his path even though he's dead.
Him attacking orochi without caring about consequences was badass. Too bad he died against kaido, but I hope to see an epic fight between those two. Oden deserved it.

Oden: Toki...!!
Toki: It’s alright Oden-san, my wound is healed!!
Oden:—You were hit by an arrow....!!
You did a great job.....protecting our kids!!
It must’ve hurt......!!!
Toki: Wait Oden-san, if you get angry for things like this...we’ll suffer from enemies’ attack again
Oden: things like this...?!
Toki, you haven’t heard about my “old tales” have you....
This exchange suggest there was a more coordinated attack that also put the children at risk. Perfectly reasonable for a man to be enraged when his family is endangered.
Is this a response? I thought we were talking about fictional characters with magic powers? Remember that time Zoro moved like faster than the eye can see... Remember that time Luffy knocked out 50000 men... I mean are you sure there's litwrally nothing that could've been done except Oden cutting down people he knows are simply misguided and being tricked by Orochi... Surely if the french had Conquerers haki it would be about different story
Pretty sure you will be out for blood after realising your so called brother even attacked your wife and kids, not everyone is supposed to be Luffy in the series, Roger literally killed Squardo crew whom we know to be fodder compared to him.
Oden is out for blood as he should be.

Like I said, I'm willing to wait for better context... But as of now this spoiler isn't selling anything
If there's an assassination going on in the background then that doesn't actually change the shit happening in the foreground
In the foreground, Oden is attacking the capital like a terrorist. It's brazen and supposedly in character for him but then it's no longer really that sad. Like is this really the best thing he could've done? Like where are all the daimyo who surely hated Orochi and company when all this is happening... Why didn't Oden take his family to Yasuie or something...
It doesn't help that he sort let all this shit happen sort of and he seemingly doesn't recognize this or it doesn't affect him to give him pause because nothing can stop yhe juggernaut that it is Chaden.
Maybe this isn't actually a tragedy and we were all lied to by Oda that it actually was. Like Remember Momo's flashback in Zou and all of Kin'emon's crying... Like this was supposed to be really sad but it's like there's all these OTHER THINGS that Oden could've done...
Examples of tragedies are Hiruluk having all an incurable disease and trying to find a way to die with purpose or King Riku getting fucked over by Doflamingo. There's clearly nothing that you could point to and say "well so and so could've just done this and gotten out of it". But with Oden Oda is glossing over so many tiny things that surely could've come up with the single reasoning that Oden is a Chad of chads who does what he wants when he wants and that's how he will always be and that is so hard to consider a tragedy
I think either Oda lied to us or I'm just really dumb and didn't pick up sooner that Oden is waayyyy too hard boiled to have a pussy death or some shit like that

Mate you realize that Oden doesn't die until 4 years later? He probably recovers the shogunate after he kills 'Orochi' who probably is the old hag as the dialogue hints, this isn't the moment Oden dies.
Pretty sure you will be out for blood after realising your so called brother even attacked your wife and kids, not everyone is supposed to be Luffy in the series, Roger literally killed Squardo crew whom we know to be fodder compared to him.
Oden is out for blood as he should be.
So Oden can't just knock out all the fodder guards with conquerers haki and just walknibyo the palace and one shot Orochi?
Is that not a viable solution here?
C'Mon, it's obvious the reason Oda went out of his way to do this is so that Orochi can live... Like we know Orochi is alive after this scene and we know he's too weak to have just survived an enraged Oden so we make sure Oden is injured by having him basically perform an act of terrorism and ignore shit like he's supposes to be so strong that he could've killed Orochi without even having to go through all that
I'm confused by the timeline in this chapter. It seems that Oden immediately returned to Wano after leaving Roger's pirates (which Oda blueballed us by not showing Roger and Whitebeard's last meeting, and now it seems like Oden is a dick by not keeping his promise with Whitey Chan ). Yet the conflict between Kaidou, Orochi and Oden was already starting? But Oden didn't die for another 5 years after this right? So what the hell was Oden doing for that last 5 years to not be prepared for Kaidou's invasion?

Okay sure. But Kin'emon says Oden DID NOT become shogun and as I said, THIS IS STILL AN ACT OF TERRORISM
We the readers know what's happening in the background but what do you expect the normal citizens watching this are thinking? If this is supposed to be like a misunderstanding of some kind that The citizens don't really understand that Oden is doing them a favour by killing Orochi then is would really help if Oden ISN'T CUTTING DOWN RANDOM GUARDD WHO ARE JUST DOING THEIR JOBS... I mean right? What are all these people he's plowed through supposed to think when he supposedly liberates them from the tyrant who they don't know is a tyrant? They are supposed to say "Oh thank you Oden for cutting me down and then cutting down my leader so can you tell me exactly why you did any of this again. I'll just sit down and listen"
Youre missing the point. Orochi isnt even doing any thing to make oden look like the bad guy to the people of wano. Hes doing it himself and its all easily avoided.
I thought we spent 50 chapters of this arc trying to recruit these fodder guards? I mean here I thought Oden was a charasismatic man of the people who was done dirty but you are right... WHO GIVES A FUCK ABOUT FODDER? ODEN DOESNT
SO WHY THE FUCKING DID WE WASTE 50 FUCKING CHAPTERS ON GATHERING THEM
