No way it is an awakening chapter, the hype is very low its even lower than chap 1016 ,1029 and all.No way such a hype chapter would recieve so many less hints.But it seems that the end of chapter is a major cliffhanger which is what @Lance_Dragonite is talking about.
If it were an awakening chapter that would be confirmed by @Lebrent reaction .
It could be possible that end of chapter shows some awakening hints or onigashima drop content.

He sank 3 of Big Mom's ships, attacked her territory and injured one of her Sweet Commanders and escaped without any major losses/injuries. He survived being setup by Apoo and Kaido and has gotten a lot stronger, to the point he was the only one able to send Big Mom flying and even off Onigashima too. He's been tanking punches and sword attacks from her too.
He also got some sweet revenge on Apoo, sank one of Kaido's main ships and his right hand is really strong and able to internally injure a Yonko, as well as winning a difficult fight against a cowardly, cunning opponent in Hawkins. Kid's right hand is a Supernova just like him and went against Zoro, a fellow Vice Captain/right hand and Supernova too.
Kid is always gonna be second fiddle to Luffy at least, he's the Vegeta to Luffy's Goku and since Luffy is the MC and is so beloved and it's the "Luffy show", Kid is always gonna struggle a lot more to keep up as the plot doesn't favour him as much. But he tries freaking hard, just like his Vice Captain does. His crew sucks aside from Killer so far but Kid and Killer are still making up for it somewhat.
Oda will give him more love in time too, he keeps showing him as rival and equal to Luffy since this arc, at Stampede and such. Him, Law and Luffy stood together at Sabaody and were shown again together in this arc too. Oda did that for a reason.
