The CP0 implicated that they won't try to "conquer" Wano until the yonko powers are still up, but Oda will also not portray a showdown between CP0 and the alliance if the alliance defeats the yonko since they will be the new established power and the CP0 would rather feel that as too risky (let's say it rather should just be Oda's decision since the SHs would not have the material strenghts at disposal to face off many CP0 members) so Sanji fighting off a few CP0 and make them retreat is the best I can glimpse for now.

I don't think Gomu Gomu is that much overpowered. It make sense the more you use your df and in more versatile way, the more you get closer to awakening. And Luffy has made the most use of his df.

He is also haki expert compared to Kid and Law who are a lot more reliant of just their df abilities maybe that did play a role

Luffy might end up defeating Kaido by himself which is far from a certainty. If anything once Zoro is done with King he will arguably end up either assisting Luffy in defeating Kaido or assist to the fight and at that stage ZKK will likely unfold. Perhaps once defeated Kaido will ask for an honorable death or perhaps Luffy will accept Zoro's help and that will occur as final strike.
