Fantastic Chapter.

Holy shit i wasnt expecting to see the barrier fruit in wano, and the face that oden really couldnt do much against it, it s a pretty damn hax df honestly, thankfully its on the luffy's side now.

I know people will hate on oden for how he acted in this chapter, but it definitely has to with between the conversation between oden and orochi (which we will most likely find out in a chapter or 2).

Oden asking for the boat is interesting, maybe he wanted the boat he can go to wb for his assiatance but was never able to since he never got his boat.

Damn young moria looks pretty damn dope, and it seems like kaido wasnt the only person who destroyed moria and his crew as we clearly see king in this chapter.

Man this fucking orochi becomes more despicable after every chapter lol.

Holy shit that last double page, one the great panels of this year hands down.

I am hyped as hell for the confrontation next week for the confrontation between oden vs kaido

I think this chapter can be really appreciated and rated only with the next one.

The last panel with all the scabbards is really beautiful

Riku dold dint get shorter with age. Akainu and the admirals don't get shorter wth age. Garp and Sengoku don't get shorter wth age. Whitebeard Kaido and Rayleigh and big mom don't get shorter with age

Whats there to explain a 50 year old Koushiro getting shorter? Was the stress of running his Dojo killing him?

Well, that's an interesting turn.

I like Oda reusing DF's in the past. Sure, it's handy for him because he doesn't need to invent new powers, but it makes the world seem more lived in.

Course, the most interesting thing is what Orochi is blackmailing Oden with. Has to be something that had terrified him to act like that, which would imply to me that it's the people of Wano who are at threat. The little clue we have is something to do with ships and Kaido. Black ships metaphor? Kamikaze metaphor? Has he managed to get Pluton (that would be over the top, I feel).

Shame we still need to wait for a proper glimpse at Prime Moria in action.

The shot of Oden and the Akazaya nine going to war is incrediably badass. Again Denjiro's the most interesting one there. Not sure if that's a scar or just forehead shading, and he definitely doesn't have Wado as the sheath is different.

Genius subtle themes by Oda once again, too.

Oden "lost" partly because the mane-mane-no-mi and bari-bari-no-mi were powers of his enemies (and generally are hax DFs).

Luffy will win the great war at EoS, partly because those exact two powers are now in the hands of his allies.

Well yeah and Denjiro is like twice as tall as current day Koushiro? Is there an explanation why he's got twice as short in about 8 years since we saw him as normal human height Zoro's flashback and remember In that flashback he was just 38 years old.

Basically a 30 year old somehow got twice as short in 8 years???

My guess ( and possible the only reason to don't think Oden was dumb) is that he needed to build an army so he waited.

It doesn’t look like he was trying to do anything in the 5 years besides whatever he was blackmailed into, and it certainly was a mistake not to enlist outside help. Maybe not dumb, but arrogant. Of course, he didn’t know how strong Kaido was.

That means you know what I mean if you say that. And Barto's fruit is right in the chapter. If you take me back on this, next time take back the opinions of anyone post who are not fully "linked" to the chapter even a little.

And considering what Bellamy said, spring ability, there would be no reason for Oda to make Bellamy say what he did if it wasn't a spring ability. It just means Bellamy managed to surprise Barto (Barto sweating), Oda puts more emphasis on that than Barto not using his barrier.

And Oden (one of Roger and WB TOP GUYS) couldn't do anything against the very very old man.

shame we didn't see much of the beast pirates this chapter but that ending has me on fire for next weeks

show me those beast pirates from 20 years ago oda

and 8 year old jack The Bandaged

I feel next chapter could be the end of oden and this flashback, wasn't really a big oden fan at the start and I'm still not
but seeing how oden and the scabbards suffered and also how wano was turned into hell has got me wanting and invested in seeing orochi and the beast pirates fall to the alliance

I kind of feel for oden during these past 5 years
