There's no guarantee that Zoro would beat Mr. 1 if they fought again soon after their fight. Mr. 1 isn't going to be an idiot and let Zoro attack him, thinking he won't be damaged. He'd go straight on the offensive, and actually focus on defense at the same time. He won't just focus on offense, and not care about defense, knowing Zoro can hurt him.

Scars don't equal damage. Someone can be scarred permanently via a simple razor slash and it would still do less damage than a simple punch

That wasnt the slash king slapped him with his wing you can see the movement on it but some people here just pretended not to see.
Theres even impact on it.
Besides that was proof that when king queen dies as colateral damage hes lucky that slash didnt go for the neck like king said
