I understand the Zoro hype though lol.

It's quite simple.
King is strong because they think Zoro is strong (and not too weak) so whatever happens in the fight hypes both King and Zoro according to them.

On the other hand, whatever Sanji does makes Sanji or Queen look weak because they think Sanji is trash.
