Given what we know, it's not really a stretch to say Kaido'd have lost. I was talking in terms of possibilities, "Kaido didn't defend himself" is the first thing I thought of when I saw the spoilers, then we got a page of Kaido utilizing the hostage movement to his advantage which opens the doors for the possibility that he was actually weaker of the two as he shouldn't have done it if he was so confident in his ability to beat Oden but I won't say he was definitely weaker.

Man, this really surprised me.

I really though it would've been similar to Luffy v Kaido.

Kaido lets Oden land a bunch of attacks, eventually Oden drops his strongest attack and injuries him, Kaido starts fighting for real and wins.

Didn't expect Kaido to have such an interference on his side.

Im sorry but what the actual fuck Oda? So im supposed to believe that Oden could not even touch Orochi due to his henchman leading to him playing a fool of a lord for 5 years to all of a sudden overpowering Kaido and losing only because he got distracted?

What other things are we going to do to set up a narrative of it being possible for Luffy beating Kaido after a week of prison training despite struggling against doflamingo weeks ago in the current one piece timeline?

Not that im surprised, but all these issues regarding the timeline could have been fixed with one more timeskip, now we have to deal with scenarios that will continuously put down Kaido & Big Mom in regards to strength because otherwise their downfall won't be believable.
