Yes I can understand being unsure of who is stronger between him and Primebeard but for how much I'm a fanboy of Akainu and Mihawk, they could not push him past high difficulty.
It makes Luffy beating Kaido alot less believable. Im supposed to believe that Luffy goes from being one shotted to actually being able to put up a fight just by lifting rocks and beating fodder?
- Straight Training on hard circumstances
- carring massive rocks while having Seastone-Cuffs (even stated that kaidos men were surprised Luffy could even move with it, Law f.e. was really injured and couldnt barely move with just one nail of seastone)
- Training boosted by having a rival (Kid)
- Massive Haki-Training with an experienced teacher
Yeah... Still would've expected him to tell his crewmates to let Momonosuke go so he can try to beat Oden at 100%. Maybe this event inspired Kaido to become overpowered?

Discussing seriously is not your strength huh?
Ever were in Gym with a friend, which kinda was a rival there? It is always way more effective, because you want to reach mentally more.
Read above, Training with someone you can compare with and the Person is more or less the same Level, makes your will to grow way stronger and pushes you, so yeah, in my opinion this is one of the strongest Arguments .
