Mogura's AP should be above Diced Mochi. Luffy took two Diced Mochi and was fine but if he took two Mogura's, he'd probably be dead.

King vs Queen portrayal wise is more akin to Katakuri - Smoothie than Smoothie - Cracker

No, Boundman used hardening against Doflamingo, Katakuri's Power Mochi was a completely unguarded hit.

Doubt it makes a difference especially knowing that Kat was on the winning end in a direct clash vs Luffy's hardening.

Queen just tanks it.

Katakuri has never shown to use Mogura with hardening, so it's not a feat I'm granting him. Hardening your weapons isn't exactly trivial (Law had never done it before his fight with Linlin (I don't know if that changed)).

Come on.....you think Katakuri can't do that ?

Katakuri didn't shield his body with hardening when he stabbed himself with Mogura either.

Makes sense, he wanted to even the playing field by giving him the same wound as Luffy so why defend against it ?

He could've done it regardless:

don't see Mogura drilling a hole in Queen. Especially not a Queen shielding himself with hardening.
