Onigashima raid started with the three Captains. Law and Kidd both fought Yonkos with Luffy, Law had been involved with SHs from Punk Hazard, got his backstory and Dressrosa is kind of his arc, Kidd has Coc. Both got awakenings before Luffy. Both got featured in 1000 chapter as leaders of new generation. Oda is planning something big with the Captain Trio especially Kidd.
