those people will always say that no matter what.
Zoro is too strong the haters thought he didn't even have coc so they give feats to characters from past arcs to try and make them stronger than current villains somehow.
Doffy and Katakuri are stronger than everyone this arc despite the fact they lost to much weaker SHs they just keep getting retroactively stronger.

Great reference, I didn't know that Oda is a Hokuto no Ken fan, amazing. It can be something like this, very likely Oda doing this.

Just another idea: Maybe Oda will do just the "base" Luffy but all covered with AdvCoC, this would be amazing too...

And finally: Oda could do reference to Sun Wukong, all the journey in One Piece is a reference to this, BTW... I was trying to mentalize something like a reference to this in the last form of Luffy...
