He doesn't need anything else. Boundman is like 50x-100x stronger than base, and base Luffy is fighting evenly with Kaido.

The battle is almost over anyhow. Kaido is already almost KOed according to Yamato a few chapters ago.

Another one. Also boundman is probably what’s gonna make kaido awaken so luffy will showcase something else. Luffy never trashed kaido I’m base or hybrid. He did a single Gatling but it was too shallow and kaido got up right away.

Luffy needs another power up to win. Odas obviously not finished

Does it really make sense to have luffy go gear 4th off screen? His haki would run out again if that’s the case.
