If you are intellectually honest, you understand that. The fan asked, whether his angry mother is stronger than Akainu and Oda, in that power level statement, discarded Akainu and decided to use Kaido when talking about the "strongest".

Several people called Kaido the strongest. Even a chapter was called "island of the strongest". It's nonsensical to call it rumor. The One Piece world is better at power scaling than us. Even the Marines themselves said, Kaido achieved what he did with strength alone.

The veracity of these rumors/hearsay is however NOT proven
Oda isn't using Kaido as a benchman in that SBS, he's using the WORLD'S STRONGEST CREATURE reputation which is associated to Kaido.

I fyou are intellectually honest, you understand that a mangaka doesn't spend 700 chapters introducing titles in boxes, presenting them as facts in bios and character statements, only to switch up on that and suddenly add "said to be" "rumored to be" "so-called" "often called" for no reason specific reason.

Even in the Gear 5 SBS, Oda says that Kaido is SAID TO BE the world's strongest, the man simply refuses to affirm that he is over and over and over.

It’s not about him being superior to Doffy or Cracker, it’s about the notion that Katakuri has never beaten anyone stronger than Luffy.

If Katakuri has never defeated anyone stronger than base Luffy, then it makes no sense for the Big Mom Pirates to actively disbelieve Pekoms’s announcement that Luffy had won the fight. Since how would they know that Katakuri is that much stronger than Cracker and Doffy unless he had actually defeated opponents that strong?
