I think it would be one of the worst moments in the story for both Zoro’s character and Luffy’s.
This is daft. Zoro has killed before he even joined the Straw Hats. Kozaburo told him that swords exist to kill one’s enemies. Luffy is not the type to kill, so Zoro will do it for him. It’s literally that simple.

The only people who think ZKK is bad for Zoro’s character are cherry pickers or people who don’t understand who Zoro is.

Why would it be bad for Zoro?
Because there’s basically no established narrative.

Arya killing the Night King is literally the worst moment in all of Game of Thrones (even though there’s technically some foreshadowing) and massacres both her character and Jon’s.

I fail to see why ZKK is different. In fact I actually think it would be significantly worse.

This is stupid as fuck
Oda had Zoro build personal bond with Yasui and Hiyori and Yasui before his death claiming defeating Orochi is gonna do nothing Kaido is head of it all and then focusing on Zoro when death or Kaido is brought up.

Kaido taking everything away from Hiyori.

Kaido saying there is no samurai quite like Oden and never will be and Tenguyama saying Oden was not skilled enough to make a black vlade and Oden himself admitting he's not skilled enough to kill Kaido.

Kaido wanting an honorable death at the hands of samurai.

Zoro looking just like Ryuma and Ryumas legend being saving Wano country from a dragon on top of flower capital.

What better way to make Zoro new Ryuma make Zoro black blade and Zoro surpassing Oden all at the same time besides Beheading Kaido??

That GoT moment is so true. Jon should have killed the NK but no writers wanted to be unpredictable...

He said he has full confidence and faith in Luffy multiple times, agreeing that this is his stage to become PK
and Luffy has actively told him and others to stay out of his fight.

zorotards want Zoro to circumvent his captain for a Ryuma callback, that Oda already gave payoff for 3 times.

This is how i see ZKK happening, and it makes perfect sense for the narrative, for Luffy, Zoro and Kaido:

Have you been reading the same manga as the rest of us? Zoro wants to avenge Yasu and is enraged by what Kaido’s SMILE business has done to the people of Ebisu Town. Zoro and Luffy both want to create a world without Kaido where Tama doesn’t have to starve. Zoro has every reason to want to kill Kaido, even without Oda revealing that he has Shimotsuki lineage and would also be avenging Ushimaru.

Many, many posters have pointed out the narrative reasons for Zoro killing Kaido. Acting like they don’t exist is intellectually dishonest and agenda-driven nonsense.
