If Oda had Zoro 'fairly' learn CoC like Luffy from Wano onwards it'd take too long and we'd realistically never see it mastered by eos. If Zoro mastered it too soon he'd be a Conqueror's prodigy in comparison to Luffy which you wouldn't find acceptable. If Zoro awakened CoC pre-ts like Luffy and had 2 years to master it's basic form you'd complain he's taking too much of Luffy's thunder.

Zoro went through a training arc in Act 2 when he first acquired Enma, where he had to learn to control the Ryuo constantly flowing out. Zoro also already demonstrated barrier CoA in fishman island, meaning he knew about how to flow his haki outward already.

Hyogoro described the ryuo he was teaching Luffy almost verbatim how Koushirou described the Breath of All Things to Zoro, meaning Zoro had experience with/knowledge of this type of haki transfer pattern even if he didn't previously know it (Luffy went a step further by learning internal destruction, but the first step of the training was learning CoA flow/emission). On top of that, Zoro got hit with a CoC-infused thunder bagua and heard Luffy's words about coating yourself in it right before Law took him off the rooftop. Furthermore, Zoro's status as a swordsman may help him more easily apply the concept of flowing haki out of his body compared to Luffy who directly infuses his body--this part is headcanon, but it follows logic

All of these things most likely made it way easier for Zoro to apply ACoC to his arsenal even if he had no prior experience or knowledge with it. The King fight also seemed to show elements of Zoro coming to terms with being a "King" or a conqueror himself--something that he may likely have already known but did not want to acknowledge because he was okay with just being in the shadows behind Luffy as long as he could both support Luffy and strive towards his own goal separately

Enma is more or less a beginner's tool for adv coc, he just needs to have a strong haki and enma will channel it for him, but it also nerfs zoro because he can only use it for a few minutes before straight up dying

Oda doesn't give a shit about powerscaling and you can see the effect of this on this forum, 90% of the arguments about powerscaling are headcanons, portrayals or statements

He doesn't really play favorites when it comes to powerscaling, everyone has their spots in terms of strength narrative wise, and nothing can change that

It can be explained in a way. CoC can't be trained and depends on the user's strength, Wano Zoro is a million times stronger than pre TS Luffy and any version of post TS Luffy that precedes Wano arc.
