Can the zoro fans who still think shusui > enma quote me so i can block you forever.
Not that I agree with them but technically speaking, if turning a sword black ranks it up a level and if Shisui was originally one of the 21 then Shisui should already be a Saijou O Wanamono unless it was originally just a random graded sword before turning black.

Didn't get what you are trying to imply here. Can you be more clear what you want to ask?
Enma is said to arbitrarily draw out a user's Ryuou (Haki) and cuts more than required. From this statement it makes sense to assume that the source of Enma's DC is that overload on Haki but what I don't get is why Zoro was able to get said Haki back from Enma. It doesn't make sense for him to have gotten the Haki back if it was used for the attack on the cliff as it should have already been exhausted. The only way it makes sense is if Enma takes the Haki as a payment for the destruction it causes (in which case Zoro getting it back makes sense as said Haki is still in Enma's possession) but that doesn't seem to be the case going of what Kinemon's explanation.

But when he holds enma it suck his haki while he holds shusui nothing happen to him so i think enma haki is more than shusui but yes both hasnt turned black yet hence <<yoru
I think it makes no sense to introduce this haki sucking stuff if there was no original purpose intended. Generally introducing new combat dynamics equals power up. Unless Oda wanted to simply make a refreshing cool sword that isn't more powerful. Possible but unlikely imo.

Oda literally says it in this chapter why it will be a powerup. When it turns permanently black, but right now its equal to Shisui.

So Oden that was the shougun of Wano (one of the most important figure in that society) and had Ema that is told that damaged Kaido and yet her daughter is willing of taking Shuisui and leaving Ema to a stranger.

In term of status Shuisui is way over Ema.

Now we dont know exactly what kind of feat Ryuma had but saying that Shuisui had no role is just foolishness.
Oden was never the Shogun

Interesring and it confirms few things

- A sword can increase in rank by becoming a black blade
- Emma is a stronger sword than Shusui naturally, but currently it's in the same lvl as Shusui because it's not a black blade
- Oden didn't manage to turn Emma black, so Ryuma had better Ryu mastery had Oden

Though it makes me question what was Shusui's original grade? Was it even lower than now? What happens to a supreme sword if it gets turn black. Will it be of an even higher grade?
So is the manga saying Shisui is a supreme grade since it is a black blade. This is the first time we have even received this information so now that question is, is Shisui current grade based on the fact it is a black blade. I would say no because this information is coming from a swordsmith (Hitetsu), who should have a better understanding of a weapon grade then a normal person. If someone doesn't know that it's reasonable for them to not rank the sword based on the fact it is a blade black, that's assuming they know how a black blade is created.

For example: If Shisui was a 21 O Wazamono grade swords when it was created and now it's a black blade. If the person using it doesn't know how black blades are created nor did they know a black blade increased a sword grade then there is no reason for them increase the sword grade.

What's even more interesting is Wado Ichimonji was created by the same person who created Enma. That means if Zoro turns that blade black it will also be a supreme grade blade.
