People's predictions were more about Who's Who vs Brook to be honest.
The legit Zoro predictions were: Kyoshiro (before Onigashima, pretty reasonable at the time), then the stupid ones like Zoro vs Kaido 1vs1 with others more reasonable like Luffy and Zoro vs Kaido, and than the obvious Zoro vs King that the toxic parte of his fandom used to deny.
Who's Who vs Zoro was never really a thing.

Kyoshiro and King were solid predictions and then Zoro having something to do with Kaido - with the plotline around Enma were good ones. One happened and Kyoshiro turned out to be a strong ally - infact the strongest of the scabbards going by Denjiro's VC.

The other toxic part, y'know the ones who were denying Zoro ever seeing Kaido and Zoro and Sanji even fighting Commanders; did predict the WsW matchup... I remember seeing those threads pop up. Anyway it's stuff of the past now.

I thought it would be:

Luffy/Law vs Kaido: cos of their alliance formed way back in PH

Kid/Marco vs BM: cos of their interactions throughout the arc, Kid's backstory with BM and her territory and all.

- Zoro vs King
- Sanji vs Queen
- Jinbe vs Jack (fishman brawl) this i was certain at some point.
- WsW vs Killer
- And other TobiRoppo to the remaining SH.

It kinda made sense at that time
