Future Events Will Dragon Invade Mariejois for Sabo? Will Luffy Join Dragon?

Just see Luffy saying to himself “Not this time” when he sees the news about Sabo and heads straight for Mariejois. Would also love to see an estranged father and son save their illegitimate son/brother together. What do you think?

Had a thought about Dragon rescuing Sabo at the expense of his life, leaving the revs crippled of their best man which would lead to an alliance w the strawhats. But then it would ruin the opportunity of Luffy meeting his dad, even though he’s more of a father to Sabo.

I think he certainly cares for Luffy, he’s prioritized fighting for the greater good than raising his own son but I’m sure he feels guilty about the whole thing, I suppose sacrifices had to be made for his goal. I do think he feels more attachment for Sabo since he’s been around him for so much longer and watched him grow, most likely trained him in his own style too. I can only imagine how complicated the situation must feel for him.

It would take a very long time for no reason, we already had a marineford and we are close to the final battle.

The only time will we see Dragon setting foot in Mariejois is when the Final War takes place. Anything before that will be off-paneled as per the usual with Oda.
