If Zoro need to make it permanently black for it to be better than Shusui, that’s mean that it is not actually better than Shusui.

I got the context, you’re just wrong about it. Ryou is not anything but haki in general. Ryou is basic haki, it’s armament, and it’s barrier CoA, and it’s beyond advanced CoA. It’s haki. That’s it.
