So yeah Luffy shouldn't have a problem to destroy it. Idk but Zoro shouldn't have either a problem,it was more like the same as for Fujitora, he gamble and put his hope to Luffy.

It might have similar properties to Barto's barrier and be nigh unbreakable.

The point though is its limitation is that Doffy needs to stay *in* and so the way to stop it is to destroy him inside rather than attempt to cut / destroy the cage.

Zoro and Kinemon were unable to damage the strings because they were too tough for them.

Luffy busted through stronger awakened strings.

Cutting birdcage has nothing to do with defeating Doffy. He couldn't also. That's why it is plot cage.
