Also, it'd be pretty lame to have them get a cool comeback moment just to lose at the end. One of my bigger pet peeves in stories is when you set a character up and don't follow through.
It is as if Oda has replaced Kuina with Tashigi. A confident, strong female character is not allowed to exist in Oda's world. It has to be a childish, weak and incompetent character instead whose main forte is handling kids.
What a huge load of bullshit.
Big mom is the best example of that, the strongest female in OP is actually a mentally ill perpetually pregnant woman who throws tantrums every now and then
Lmaoo I absolutely can't believe that's what you got from this chapter
Literally Kidd statement doesn't even fit BM, she's taking damage, it's Kaido who's taking damage slowly to the point it doesn't seem he's taking any damage hence drop of waters in a rock
Drop of water in a rock example doesn't fit what's happening with BM
If you're not convinced after this idk what to say
I think it makes perfect sense. The manga is explaining to us the difference between Big Mom's durability and recovery compared to Kaido's and what is needed to defeat them.
First, with any type of battle the more damage an opponent receives and the longer the battle goes on the more they're going to become wore down.
Big mom's durability represent the rock while Kid and Law's AP represent the drip of water. Their AP (drip of water) may not be as strong Big Mom's durability (rock) but if they continue to attack Big Mom they will defeat her durability and cause her significant damage. Just like a drip of water can defeat a rock over time they can do the same with Big Mom.
Big mom has a durable body because of her giant blood. There's nothing supernatural about it and it can be defeated. You don't need specific type of attacks or the strongest AP in the manga. Of course, some attacks work better than the others and the greater AP the easier and faster it will be to defeat her durability.
Kaido is different. His durability and recovery comes from his devil fruit. It's supernatural and and it makes them nearly impossible to hurt and up to this time unkillable. Powerful Ryu or attacks that cause internal damage plus some of the highest/strongest AP with COA/ACoC is needed to cause him significant damage.
Kaido can't be defeated by just hitting him with powerful attacks over and over again. That won't work. Even if you can damage him the damage would be very insignificant and he's going to quickly recover. That's the reason Luffy earlier rooftop attacks were insignificant and the Scabbards combination attack couldn't reopen his old wound.

He has a point, big mom is just ridiculously nerfed, her stats and abilities should put her above kaido but I guess "the stronger, the dumber" logic is Oda's only way of having her in the story without threatening other character's shine
Why ?
Yes BM can do a lot of stuff but sometimes none of that matter compare to simple skill stuff .
Which is what he did with Kaido .
Plus we now seeing more of Kaido fighting style .
Nah, Brook makes no thematic sense. Not unless he uses his Devil Fruit powers to send Zoro to the Underworld.
Zoro's body is now confronting certain death. A Brook gag has no place there. If it's Brook, it's because Oda is going to have him use his Devil Fruit powers to send Zoro to the Underworld.
