Zoro and Yamato were not even strong enought to knock a Yonkou down. Luffy and Law actually did serious damage to a yonkou. Maybe Marco didn't but he fought two commanders at the same time and was trashing them.

Yamato was only good enough to stall a yonkou and Zoro got one shot and his strongest attack did basically nothing but make Zoro fans come.

I don't remember Yamto smacking Kaidou into a ground. Zoro himself was disappointed about the damage he did to Kaidou. Leaving a scar isn't impressive at all. Shanks is full of scars. Luffy stabbed himself in the eye. A scar isn't a measure of strenght. Oden scarred Kaidou in a one on one duel and went in for the kill. Zoro just so happened to be able to cut Kaidou because he had Odens blade.
