Yeah that seems the most likely answer. Those independent lifespan collecting homie things.
I always hoped her awakening may unleash the actual underworld in some form, have a soul focused version of Shadows Asgard and maybe put souls/lifespan into others or the dead at least.
So basically even more similar to Moria fruit lol.
Give her something similar to Hades' soul pool or such in Hercules:
I really want to see Oda reference Hades and Charon somehow.
