Haven’t gotten Basculegion yet but I’m in the coastlands, still a thousand points away from the fourth star while my fiancé is almost done creeping up on the fifth

same for me with a Bibarel, it doesn't even learn Icy Wind normally before PLA and it kept moving before all my Pokemon despite being 5 lv higher smfh

That's what annoys me so much, the battle system makes no sense in parts, especially the real random bulk up stats from pokémon, like a three time booster for what? They used not even an attack.
This is especially annoying in later battles.

Just got past noble Arcanine AND managed to find a shiny Graveler while exploring Firespit Island to make up for the Starly that got away from me earlier

I stopped doin the story to get some side quests out the way and I was farming materials for Pokeballs and heal items. Going to continue the story tomorrow.only ranked 3 stars atm and I’m at the second location that unlocks on the map, forgot the name.

ngl I hate that Alpha pokemon even if they're 20 levels lower than you can somehow not only move faster but always somehow have super effective moves that they would never learn outside of PLA (or without a TM) and deal critical hits and nearly 1 shot or straight up kill without being able to do anything (my lv 34 Dartrix nearly got one shotted by a lv 14 Buizel using an ice beam without being able to choose a single action)

They ALWAYS move faster, and they ALWAYS fire off two moves even if you don’t use Strong Style, it’s complete bullshit…I’ve been fighting the ones in the first two areas now that I’ve cleared the third, and they’re still knocking my lead battler out before it’s all said and done

my starter Dartrix has died 30+ times so far when in all of my other games I've died either to a legendary ro elite 4/champion (it took a Porygon-Z Hyper Beam in the 3rd Champion Rematch of Shining Pearl to finally 1 shot my Infernape)

Apparently Gyarados only spawns in the sky. Just saw a video of a guy chuck a Pokeball randomly and caught it first try. Gonna try to do that shit later. Should have done that to the Staraptor I found on my first day playing.

Noble Electrode is a fucking pain, took forever to balm it enough to win without battling…its ultimate move covers almost the entire arena

ngl I'm highly contemplating just staying in 1 area the entire time and trying to grind out to rank 7 before going anywhere else. I know it's gonna take a long ass time but i just hate seeing my pokemon get oneshotted even with grinding levels or 20+ lv advantages

Yeah, now that I’ve unlocked the last area, I’m thinking about going back to all the other places and just going nuts for a while, catch as many alphas and complete as many Pokédex pages as possible. From what I’ve seen, the noble Avalugg fight is a nightmare, so I wanna do as much as possible before facing it

my plan rn is to grind my main pokemon until I get to Lv 80 and/or reach Star Rank 7 (so far at 4 and really close to 5 rn) before I even go to Crimson Mirelands. I had a group of 3 wild pokemon (all lv 20-25) attack me 10 consecutive times without my pokemon to do a single fucking action and even at lv 41 my hisui decidueye got killed X_X (had to escpe the next turn and isolate each pokemon to a 1v1 battle to finally beat them). I ain't risking shit no more for this damn game

My personal ranking of how hard the royals were(from difficult to easy)
1, Avalugg
2, Arcanine
3, Electrode
4, Kleavor
5, Lilligant
I personally didn't have any issues with wild encounters, even with alphas, I can deal good damage to them even 20 levels lower lol
Pokemon chasing me is the most annoying part

my only problem so far is that wild pokemon (especially Alphas) will move before me (usually over 50% HP damage) before I can even choose an attack and I have to decide almost immediately if its even worth healing up or just escaping if I can't one shot the wild pokemon
