at this point I just want Oda to focus on Kaido vs Luffy
Oda Clearly doesn't want to reveal much about either Kidd or Big Mom, no flashback, no good usage of their powers, no hints at their future, there's nothing major about to be revealed here it seems, and the reason maybe he doesn't want this fight to rival Kaido fight in term of importance
so at least with Kaido and Luffy we will get everything we want to know about the characters, and Oda won't hold back

Hunter x hunter and Fullmetal I belive, thing is that so far awakenings dont have an excuse to evolve so fast like haki does, so it feels bullshitty to have them say its limits to them ignore it immediately. But that is all irrelevant since the real main problem is chapter 1030, the viz implies that they can only use it ONCE, and you can say the scans say the same though my interpretation of the latter was always that they cant SPAM it or SUSTAIN it like Doffy and Kata, they can use it for an attack and then it deactivates, thas why Law only used it thrice and Kid only used it twice
