I see there's been talk about lynching Xlaw and then Nana on council. I don't see why we can't lynch nana both times though.

Under the assumption she's lying, we should always lynch her.

Under the assumption she's telling the truth about that ability, a sizeable D1 wagon will almost certainly contain enough scum to trigger the save, and then we can vote again on council. Which functions as two different checks.

If we're trying to gain info from her lynch passive...why would we not gain info twice?

I am not in any way inclined to believe the details of her claim given how long it took her to come out so saving her just for council is an objectively bad idea if her lynch save is say just a form of one-shot and we let her go for another cycle.
We got a little under 6 hours left. For the above reasons, and because Xlaw presents far more townie (sloppily, however), I'd like to shift the wagon on to Nana.

I'm ready to take a swing on Thanos

Talk me through why using two lynches on Nana makes more sense here, with Xlaw having been revealed in results implicating him?

Would getting info twice be necessary in this situation is the question. Surviving a lynch usually implicates anyone. Using her claim to verify the council, which considering it's small pool of players, offers us enough information to scrutinize if she was telling the truth should the lynch fail.

The consensus is that both, Nana and Xlaw are scum and that using both the lynches we have today to try and eliminate them is the better option.

Does Xlaw typically react this way as town?
I have never played with the dude. All I can tell you is that he's been open and fairly belligerent in a way that my experience lends me to, in spite of the mechanical evidence against him, see him more favorably.

If you compare him to Nana he looks a lot better, he gave up his entire claim soon after evidence came out against him, including parts that looked bad, and he's been acting more like someone who doesn't understand the suspicion on them defacto. Nana comes off as a lot more hesitant, defensive, awkward. Like scum.

can someone answer my question before I have to check into work
dont ignore me or I will start my day with an attitude
:josad:
Essentially, his whole play tbh.
- His night actions require a substantial amount of conveniences to have taken place.
- His "proof" isn't really alignment indicative since it's more so based on an ability that can be both, scum and town based. So it really can't be used as a clearance.
- His "slip" that I mentioned earlier in the day phase about "the other mafia".
- His weird idea to try and change the role of an indie, then he tried it on a confirmed town, and overall, just seemed all over the place.
- It seemed like he just wanted to use whatever ability he could that would gain trust traction in some way.
