I love Ezio....I really fricking do. But Connor >
Connor is just too good. And AC3 was the best game. No cap.
AC2 is a close second tho.

I might cop. Which is better Origins or Odessy ?
AC3 is actually really underrated by AC fans, but the best AC games are AC2, Brotherhood, and Black Flag. All of these games are peak AC while the rest are great but have issues that cause them to fall short.
Second, Connor sucks my guy lol. He spends all of AC3 whining uncontrollably. I donβt want to throw the word βChadβ out to heavily as that word has gotten a lot of use lately that it doesnβt deserve, but Ezio is a literal 100% Italian Chad whoβs smooth, confident, yet humble tongue can seduce any woman (though Ezio only sleeps with the finest and classiest of women), who became wealthy enough to own entire cities (Ezio canonically owned all of Roma and Constantinople before his death), and of course Ezio is pretty much the most masterful and dangerous killer in AC history.
Connor is a whiny native Americans orphan who spends all of AC3 trying to work out his daddy issues, only for his dad to actually be a much better character than he is lol.
Anyway, Odyssey is amazing. It might be better than AC2 but I need time to tell lol. Origins is really good but odyssey is for sure superior. And kassandra is a total bombshell. Lol

. Maybe if they kept it to a minimum like in AC3, then I would enjoy it.

Wow you didnt have to come for Connor the way you did. 
Anyways like you said Ezio is a great character. I truly dont remember what made me like Connor so much. Is it because I loved AC3 in general or was it because of Connor.
Either way all I remember is that I enjoyed playing as Connor a lot more than as Ezio. Perhaps it was the weapons or the hunting, or the cool dirty cities.
I also loved playing as AltaΓ―r as well. Because the cities were cool as hell.
Edward however and his dumb ship sailing....was such a no no for me. I couldnt get into ship sailing at all. I hated it. I wanted another Assassins game, not a Pirate/Assassins hybrid.
I also enjoyed Unity, and if it werent for the annoying glitching and lagging...I might have ranked it a lot more higher. Syndicate was my last game....and I hated it. So much that I never wanted to purchase another AC game again. However Oddesy and Origins both have good reviews, I'm still highly skeptical.
