Well post timeskip has been Lawpiece from beginning to now. Pfp Law might be the most popular character in One Piece. Law haters have no choice but to accept this character is not going anywhere he's been cemented relevant till EOS, and he has been running post timeskip One Piece. They really wanted him to play a background role in Wano to fit their "support role" headcanons but Oda gave a massive middle finger to everyone who was praying on that. People really thought the man that started this entire Yonkou saga was really not gonna see it through to the end lmao.
However Zoro came first so he's gonna be hard to ever replace. He's been killing it since day 1, and out of all the strawhats he fell off the least if at all compared to his pre skip self (along with Nami). He did not get outshined in Wano one bit, he put haters through all time levels of damage control. He outperformed everyone so badly haters were calling roofpiece filler 😂, then when Luffy got advCoC they latched onto that, few weeks later he got that too. Love to see it.

The biggest reason why law got to top 2 in my opinion is because the strawhats have gotten stagnant. They have gotten so stagnant that their main purpose is to highlight other characters so they do not do anything ground breaking. For example zoro not wanting to fight law or big mom is nonsensical writing.
