I doubt Kaido flashback is gonna be long, about 1-3 chapters at most.

3-5 chapters is more than enough to conclude the fight

And the conclusion of the arc post fighting 5-10 chapters.
It may not even be in chapters. It might be like that King stuff. Here Luffy fights Kaido uga buga and few panels of Kaido's past being a punching bag for Rocks'

I wonder if he even knew of this whole joyboy ordeal before meeting King. Since King little flashback always semeed to me like he was fueling Kaido with "you are joyboy" crap until Kaido gave up on that idea.
Although this will sound weird considering who Kaido became. It really looked like he was literally an oni with a mission and he was passionate about it until something broke him. I really, really fucking hope Oda doesn't relate this to this stupid Oden scar thing.

If it's what caused Kaido to become the worst alcoholic out of all onis I will start trashing Kaido.

You also have a point with King. I'm afraid King was this blinded hype rider who was telling Kaido what he wanted but not because King was some schemer but he saw Kaido as an untouchable God or some shit.

Maybe Kaido found some answer in Wano when it comes to Joyboy before ultimately giving up on that idea, but if it was due to his fight with Oden then that would be trash, nothing in that "war" indicates that.

To King it didn't matter if he was or wasn't he was still gonna follow Kaido, he respected his strength, he wanted to make him PK, he believed Kaido was joyboy but if he wasn't he wasn't gonna turn on him, most important Kaido didn't sell him out.

I hope it's not this cliche fuckery with chosen one.

Shanks is a prince...He always treats others with dignity and respect...I'm not surprised if he is a prince
Shanks? Lol. I would rather say Mihawk gives off prince/royalty vibe and Shanks would be his yang a rascal going thru villages but ultimately finding the same language with Mihawk ( forget the term it's not language but fuck it ).

I predicted this before:myman:
I hope Shanks is the main villain for Luffy ( or villain figure if that makes sense ). I hope Oda finally grows some balls and matures Luffy a little with this fight/encounter. I don't ask Oda to change Luffy to the most mature man out there but he needs some sort of awakening because he is still tpo childish for his status especially post Wano.

I wanted Blackbeard before but I completely lost hype for him. + If Shanks dies before meeting Luffy it will be too fucking cliche.

I hope too...Shanks is a person who cannot be predicted...He still has his hat on when Luffy fires Fishman Island...Luffy looks angry there...There must be a strong reason for Luffy to be so angry...The death of Shanks or the betrayal of Shanks is a good reason

I view Shanks as a more cruel/more realistic version of Roger. Whereas Roger was just grown-up Luffy tbh.

No matter how we flip it Luffy can't just defeat everyone and announce freedom for the entire world. It's like more than impossible lol.
