The common fan theory thus far seemed to be that Whitebeard sorta stalled the rest of the crew from helping the captain. Because I am going to be real if it took Roger, Garp AND Whitebeard to beat him that is just stupid levels of hype for him. It's already insane it took both Garp and Roger to do it. Adding Whitebeard into the mix is just over kill.

Rocks must have been some kind of overpowered monstrum that it took all 3 in their best to smash that guy. It just shows the thread what the guy made around himself. Tho we still know so little about his crew besides WB Kaido and Linlin and slowly showing flashbacks of them. I must say I am thrilled to see more about them. Tho it would be funny to see that guy living and even meeting the SH with "hey I remember that bitch ass hat, wanna fight?" /j

Whitebeard who has for golden rule on his ship to not kill a nakama?
Whitebeard who values loyalty above all else?
If WB betrayed Xebec then it's literally character assassination
I'd be fine with him leaving ROCKS and getting out of the battlefield for moral reasons but turning on his captain and crewmates? Character assassination
