people talked so much about Buggy and Shanks being sure cute , like bothers or things like that ... but they are forgetting one KEY POINT in Buggy story line


no I'm not talking about Shanks and Buggy being HEAVILY LINKED to God Valley ....

in Buggy story line there might be the asnwer of

- 900 years old war
- where DF are coming from
- why some people have no DF
- why Imu can the most overpowered person ever
- why Marine admirals are all DF users
- Luffy MAJOR problem in future

of course I'm talking about " Buggy illness "

Buggy getting sick was TOO RANDOM ... at least at first look

Buggy was healthy all the way
and in the way of return he was on good conditions

but he getting sick when they are getting close to Raftel

and he is been told " YOU WILL DIE IF YOU TO THAT ISLAND"

again this seem far too random
how can they be sure?

and why no one else got his disease?

why only Buggy?

I think there is one thing we are forgetting ....

Buggy was the ONLY DF user in the Roger Pirate

I know it's too much of a claim but I think Oda was showing us .... laugh Tail is a Type of island that no DF can get inside of it ... and if anyone dose they will die


and honestly this makes so much sense if we consider the possibility for it


we all know 900 years ago there was a world war among D clan and gods .... and we should know by now Laugh Tail IS connected to everything include that

if we assume the Laugh Tail was a place for all D clans to hide in the end war we can come to his understanding that Imu and other gods are the creators of DFs

and just like that we can have a logical to many questions and rules in the World

that's why no one on Roger's crew had any DF .... cause they knew about this and they wanted to make it to Raftel
that's why Garp have no DF ... cause he don't want to be slave to Imu
that's why ever single admiral have a top class DF ... cause WG would make them to eat one in order to be admiral

and it's very likly this is what Doffy is talking about

Imu and WG have the POTENTIAL POWER to control and enslave all those who have DF

and that's the real power of Imu ... and why enemies of his don't have DF


but you may ask : well ... the fucking main character have a DF ...


well about that ... first of all ... it's more than clear Shanks hated the idea of Luffy eating DF

it's more than likely that Shanks already chosen Luffy to be next Pirate King .... and that's why he was so mad ... cause he knew Luffy just fucked up ....


but even with this ... Oda always can give his story a run away .... maybe a broken level of will ....


any way .... I'm not sure how much of this made any sense but I'm in search of deeper meaning behind all of this

I have serious doubts about that.

Honestly, what caught my interest more is the narrator saying about Buggy and Shanks not going, saying "was it a good kind of luck? or bad kind of luck?"

That to me, this line is more interesting to me because the normal answer is "it was bad luck for them" to not go to Laugh Tale. That's the regular normal answer.

BUT the narrator questioning if it was actually "good luck" makes me wonder, WHY?

Why would it be a "good luck" if they missed that trip? what would make the difference? is Shanks really a snitch and it was good luck by fate? LOL
Or is there something way beyond that, like maybe their roles will be bigger for the next time anyone visits laugh tale?

Maybe since they did not visit it with Roger, and Shanks basically told Buggy that one day they both will go there, MAYBE they will actually make it there, and have such big roles in helping Luffy out there, a tremendous help that is SO NECESSARY.

While if they went to Laugh Tale with Roger, they wouldn't try to go there ONCE MORE, which means they wouldn't help Luffy in Laughtale.

Or maybe another "good type of luck" reason!

my theory is about the problem ...

Oda can create a answer and it's rather easy ... since Luffy is chosen boy plot armor can give them a way out

even I don't think Oda would really consider all parts of my theory ... but I'm sure he will consider some of it

Yeah, I discussed this same possibility the day the chapter came out and proposed that the reason why devil fruit users can't approach Laugh Tale is related to an energy field protecting it that also affects the Log Pose (hence why it went crazy when the Roger Pirates landed at Lodestar). Since many chapters ago we've been reminded how there seems to be a relationship between certain energy and devil fruits: the fruits themselves radiate some strange aura according to Kaku, Law feels a weird energy when exposed to kairoseki and Blackbeard's fruit cancels abilities through gravity. My take is the same as yours, as I believe that the devil fruits were created by the World Government in response to the ancient weapons used by the lost kingdom. Back then I theorized that Chopper may be able to cure this illness in order to fulfill his dream, but who knows. But yeah, I'm confident that devil fruit users can't approach Laugh Tale and the people from the lost kingdom created said energy field to protect the history from the "weapons" created by their enemies.

This is a really interesting take!
DFs make the user an enemy of the sea and change the user's DNA (lineage factor). If Laugh Tale repels people with powers, that may explain why they would get physically sick if they tried to approach.

It also explains why Doffy never made a run for Laugh Tale-- he knew that he only needed to control the power at Mariejois to become PK.
